UGH – so many extraneous people and details – does he really expect us to keep track of who all these people are? Who cares – I just want to see Cersei die. In the end she is naked in a cell in the Holy Sept. Done in by her own wily, evil schemes trying to destroy Margaery, her son Tommen’s little queen.
Jaime has taken River Run but the Blackfish escaped so he’s upset about that. No one truly understands how he has changed. Cersei writes an appeal to him from her cell – he balls it up and throws it in the fire.
Arya is a little fish seller in Braavos, tough and fearless.
Samwell is sent with Gilly and a baby back to Old Town – for what I’m not so sure.
Sansa is Alayne and lives in the Vale with Petyr Littlefinger posing as her father.
Brienne is on a quest to find her but is looking in all the wrong places and finding all sorts of trouble. As this book ends, she has been taken to be hanged and Lady Catelyn is a dried out corpse that is the leader of some evil outlaws.
Oh – and the Kraken or Ironmen of Greyjoys or whatever they’re called have a new king – an evil one bent on taking over the world.
